Your welcome! If this is your introduction to Kiddo, then this is a reply to your thank you in advance. On the Gutter to Greatness CD (G2G) we were introduced to the Rhyme Scheme Front Man and fell in love with the passion in his voice. Little did we know that we were experiencing not only what was his translation of Gutter but this was our preview of Greatness! He would later label his self the complete package in his musical and lyrical skills. We were soon to see the versatility and wide range he covered in his music.
From the hood anthem “I Rep My City”, to the clever and catchy “So Sweet”, he gave us slices of his reality in “My Word” and “Hard Times”, and sealed the deal with the lyrical story telling “Could You Be My Bonnie” (Bonnie and Clyde).
He followed his debut project with a series of mix tapes. The first was Pontiac Problem Vol. 1 sub titled “We Hungry” and Vol. 2 “Fire Season”.  Even though these projects featured Kiddo rapping over some of the hottest industry beats at the time. He was still able to bring his own identity to these songs and make them his own. Kiddo was also known for featuring artist from the Pontiac and Detroit area that shared his hunger and will to be heard and respected as MC’s. Kiddo’s generosity with allowing so many on so many different times to be heard on his projects was soon to come to an end. Read More

The other person that's heavy in rotation is my man J. Cole. One day I saw his mix tape The Warm Up on hiphopdx.com as a listen and free download. Little did I know what i was in for but before the CD was over I was a full fledged FAN! I even back tracked and got my hands on his first one The Come Up also a real good listen. With songs like Hold It Down and Lights Please you will quickly see that he is the future of this thing we love called hip hop.

Hey wassup my people! I just wanted to take some time to highlight some of the music thats inspiring and driving me these days. First off I am a BIGG fan of Slaughterhouse and each individual member's solo career. Joell Ortiz is one of my personal favorites just to be lyrical and bring so much reality to his music. Royce 5'9 my neighbor over in the "D", he is just a canibal on the mic. He attacks every song af if its beef with the beat.

Crooked I, he was the only member that was new to me and I instantly was amazed by his word play and delivery. I never heard anyone put so many rhyme words together so clever.

Then you have joe Buddens, you either love him or hate his guts, lol. I know because I use to hate him but now I think I understand him and his dark side. i share a lot of his passion with today's state of hip hop and I think he is one of few people that can pour his soul on a track and still be lyrical to.

We will be taking submissions with small registration fees for Rappers, Singers, and Producers. The submissions will be judged by categories of creativity, originality, and substance. Last but not least I want to give a shot out to two Emcees that I have had the pleasure of working with from my hood Pontiac "YacTown" Michigan. First my man Ro Spit (www.rospit.com) he is one of the dudes that pushes me just by him handling his own. If yall haven't got to listen to the Oh S#!t project of the Forgotten Chosen please stop depriving yourself and go check them out. They are right on his site as free downloads. GO GET THEM! And that's a voucher for ya! Next is my man Ill Will formerly known as Total Kaos. This guy is just Lyricism in its purest form! He is repping 6 Deep Records, catch up with him on Face Book and you can hear him and Ro Spit featured on some of my CLASSIC disks such as Gutter to Greatness and the Pontiac Problem series. Once you take a listen to them you will see why I have to stay on my toes, lol. Tune back in for more music updates Real Soon!
